YURTBAY SERAMIK INITIATES A NEW ERA IN SUSTAINABILITY

• Yurtbay Seramik has opened the doors to a new era in environmentally friendly production with its 5 MWe Solar Power Plant (SPP) investment implemented at its Eskişehir Inönü Facility.

Yurtbay Seramik has taken its commitment to environmental responsibility a step further by launching a 5 MWe rooftop solar power plant investment at its production facility in Inönü, Eskişehir. This significant investment translates the company's sustainability vision into a concrete application, ushering in a new era in energy efficiency.

With an annual electricity generation capacity of approximately 9,427 MWh, the solar power plant investment covers 13% of Yurtbay Seramik's total electricity consumption. Thanks to the project, approximately 4,600 tons of CO₂ emissions are prevented annually, significantly reducing environmental impacts.

The project is not limited to electricity generation alone; it is also integrated with cogeneration turbines that run directly on natural gas, resulting in savings on natural gas consumed in this system. This integration saves approximately 1,500,000 Sm³ of natural gas annually, significantly reducing the carbon footprint and creating efficiency in energy costs.
