Aykut Bulut, one of the doyens of the Turkish ceramics industry, passed away at the age of 70. His body was buried in the Borulce Cemetery following the noon prayer to be held at Burhaniye Koca Mosque on October 17.
The death of Aykut Bulut, who was being treated for lung cancer for 2.5 years, was met with great sadness in the ceramic industry, where he served as an engineer and manager for many years.
Aykut Bulut, who was born in Burhaniye on April 23, 1951, completed his primary and secondary education in various cities of Turkey due to his father's duty. After graduating from Izmir Atatürk High School, he completed his master's degree in Istanbul Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering. He started his career as an R&D Engineer at Çanakkale Ceramic Factories in 1973 and worked as a manager in the same factory for 23 years. After Çanakkale Seramik, he worked as a manager at Tamsa Seramik, Ege Seramik, Kütahya Seramik, Bien Seramik, Akgün Seramik, Yüksel Seramik, Seranit and Uşak Seramik factories respectively. Most recently, he was a Consultant at the Termal Ceramic Factories.
