VitrA WINS DOUBLE VICTORY AT RED DOT

VitrA Karo, the manufacturer of the brands VitrA, Villeroy&Boch and engers, was honored with two different series at the 2025 Red Dot Design Awards. VitrA’s CementEra and Villero&Boch’s MetalCraft series each won an award in the “Product Design” category.

The Red Dot Design Awards, which have been given since 1955, are considered one of the most important indicators of quality and innovation in design on a global scale. In 2025, a jury of 43 independent experts from 21 countries evaluated applications from more than 60 countries according to the criteria of functionality, aesthetics, quality and sustainability. The CementEra and MetalCraft series were deemed worthy of the award with their high design quality after passing this meticulous evaluation process.

CementEra, which is among VitrA’s 2025 tile collections, offers a refined surface design that blends the simplicity of concrete texture with modern lines and reflects city life in design. Combining minimalist elegance with functionality, the collection creates a balanced and contemporary atmosphere in interior spaces. Color alternatives in warm and cold tones and different size options offer architects a wide range of usage flexibility. The glossy printing technique used in the series’ 120x120 cm “fluid” decor option adds a striking expression to the surfaces.

Developed under the Villeroy & Boch brand, the MetalCraft series reinterprets the aesthetics of industrial metal surfaces from a modern perspective. Combining primary colors such as silver, steel, brown and black with accents in copper, brass and petrol tones, the series offers elegant transitions between light and shadow, matte and glossy surfaces. Developed for wall and floor applications, porcelain tiles in different sizes provide aesthetic and technical superiority in both residential and commercial projects. With its non-slip surface technology, easy-to-clean surface technologies such as VilbostonePlus and CeramicPlus, and long-lasting usage features, MetalCraft offers a remarkable solution in architectural projects.
