VITRA INTRODUCES 100% RECYCLED TILES AT CERSAIE

VitrA premiered the transformation of waste into high-quality products in the tile industry at its stand at the Cersaie Fair, held from September 22-26. The 100% recycled porcelain tiles at the fair, where VitrA Tile has been participating since 2013, attracted considerable attention.

VitrA attracted attention with its stand offering a multi-sensory and immersive experience to visitors at the 42nd Cersaie Fair in Bologna, Italy. Architects, designers, and visitors had the opportunity to explore the current frontiers of ceramic innovation, new technologies, application solutions, and creativity. The most significant innovation at the fair was 100% recycled porcelain tiles. VitrA's new formula allows the use of production waste entirely, replacing the four primary raw materials used in ceramic production. These tiles significantly reduce carbon footprints and streamline production processes.

One of the most anticipated innovations at Cersaie was V-Tone, which offers a solution to the tonal variation problem experienced by all manufacturers in the ceramics industry. The advanced tonality technology eliminates color variations between production batches, one of the biggest challenges for the ceramics industry. Thanks to V-Tone, tile colors remain consistent from batch to batch, bringing design integrity to projects. Investment in the technology is planned to begin in March 2026, and the goal is to integrate it into all production lines by the end of the year.

Other technologies highlighted at Cersaie included VitrA’s TileScape application, which suggests the most suitable tile product based on a single photo; V-Shape and V-Hygiene solutions for maximum visual performance and hygiene; and the Easy Tiling function, which speeds up tiling time by up to seven times.
