Winners of 2026

Prof. Güngör Güner was awarded the Silver Award in the "Functional Art, Avant-garde and Expressive Object Design" category of the A' Design Award & Competition in 2026. The artist's design, "Sculptural Night," is a porcelain night lamp inspired by handmade ceramic sculptures. The soft light emanating from its translucent form combines artistic expression with functional lighting, while also possessing the potential for mass production through the porcelain casting method.

Güner had previously won the Gold Award in the “Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design” category with her Turkish coffee cup design in 2017 and the Silver Award in the "Handmade, Crafts and Artisan" category with her coffee cup design in 2024.

NG Kütahya Seramik's Delmar porcelain tile won the Silver Award in the "Building Materials and Construction Components Design" category this year. Inspired by the ocean and the coral formations on the Maragogi coast of Brazil, Delmar stands out with its organic structure, vibrant patterns, and aesthetics that bring the peaceful atmosphere of nature into spaces. It also makes a difference with its durability and use of sustainable materials.

In 2024, another major manufacturer in the ceramics sector, Creavit, also won a Silver Award in the "Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design" category with its Ruby Washbasin series. Featuring a third-generation ceramic body, Ruby stood out for its high durability despite its ultra-thin design.

Monte Porcelain, one of the winners of 2025, was awarded in the "Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design" category for its dinnerware and swan carafe set from its "Firefly" series. Inspired by the shimmer of fireflies, the dinnerware set emphasizes the importance of form, function, and visual integrity in table setting. With its flowing curves and elegant form, the Swan Carafe embodies the delicate beauty of the bird from which it takes its name, while the goblet, produced using a translucent glaze technique, possesses visual depth.
