The "2nd International Young Traces on Ceramics Competition and Exhibition," which brought together young talents at an international level, was held at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center from October 3 to November 12, 2025.

The exhibition aims to provide a young perspective on ceramic art and to create an intercultural communication environment by bringing together artists from different cultures. It also makes the productivity of young artists visible and attracts attention with its structure centered on intergenerational solidarity.
This year's second competitive exhibition was curated by Mehmet Tuzum Kizilcan and Ebru Ilbeyci Alkan. Alkan, one of the curators, stated that they aimed to make Izmir a meeting point for art with this exhibition and that this event was a long-term journey and she continued: "The term 'Young Traces' was chosen to emphasize the dynamism and productivity of young artists and to embody hope for the future."
This year's exhibition's selection committee consisted of Assoc. Prof. Atilla Cengiz Kilic, Prof. Ayşegul Turedi Ozen, Assoc. Prof. Bugra Tan Ozer, Deha Cun, Instructors Dr. Hasan Sahbaz, Irfan Aydin, Mehmet Kutlu, Mustafa Tuncalp, Yeliz Saydan, and Yuksel Onder Maden. The selection committee evaluated the following winners: First Place: Irem Deniz, Second Place: Veli Ergin, Third Place: Deniz Tutgun, Honorable Mentions: Works by Nurgin Cetin, Onur Aksoy, and Ali Uslu. "Young Traces on Ceramics" will continue to grow each year, attracting diverse national and international participants and encouraging new young artists.
