The 26th International Glass Congress (ICG2022) will be held in Berlin between 3-8 July. The UN's recognition of 2022 as the International Year of Glass makes the congress more meaningful. The German Society of Glass Technology (DGG), which undertakes the organization, will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of its establishment.
Following the first joint meeting of German and British Societies of Glass Technology (DGG and SGT) in Aachen, Germany (1928), the International Commission on Glass (ICG) was set on stage in Venice, 1933, to celebrate the cosmopolitan spirit that has always been at the heart of community of scientists, technologists, engineers and artists. 2022 will mark the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the DGG, an excellent occasion and a high motivation to organize and host the 26th International Congress on Glass (ICG2022).
ICG2022 provides plenary sessions and 45 technical sessions grouped in 8 symposia and includes the 13th International Congress on Advances in Fusion and Processing of Glass (AFPG2022), a valuable opportunity for glass scientists and technologists. Congress is taking place in the Marriott Hotel Berlin Central District.
