Idealist Design Association, which encompasses creative disciplines in architecture, art, and design, hosted a solo exhibition by artist Deniz Pireci at Artcrowdistanbul Art Gallery. Pireci interprets ceramics, a common material in architectural design and art, in various styles. The exhibition was curated by Şanel Şan Sevinç, the founder of Artcrowdistanbul.
Deniz Pireci, who addresses issues such as migration, locality, identity, cultural difference, and gender from different perspectives and visualizes these concepts using porcelain, brought together porcelain and embroidery in her latest exhibition titled "Connect the Dots." In her works created using embroidery techniques on porcelain, she presented a unique language that combines the fragility of porcelain with the patience and resilience of embroidery.
Deniz Pireci, whose artistic life has interspersed her personal history with collective memory, drew inspiration for this exhibition from her childhood. Her works, inspired by the "connect the dots" puzzles in the Illustrated Encyclopedia she eagerly read as a child, explore her childhood memories and her struggle to connect with a fragmented world.
