PIONEER INDUSTRIALIST IBRAHIM BODUR MEMORIALIZED

Ibrahim Bodur, who laid the foundations of the Kale Group in Can 68 years ago and was a pioneer of industrialization in Turkiye, prioritizing people and social good at every step, was commemorated at a ceremony held at the Can factory on the ninth anniversary of his passing. Kale Group President and CEO Zeynep Bodur Okyay said, "The love for people and country my father left us continues to illuminate our path."

The values embraced throughout the life of Kale Group founder and pioneer industrialist Ibrahim Bodur continue to inspire Kale Group's work in a wide range of areas, from sustainability to social good. Bodur, who prioritized people and social good at every step, was commemorated at a ceremony held at the Can factory on the ninth anniversary of his passing.

The commemoration program, held on May 23rd at the Factories Conference Hall, brought together state officials, local administrators, university administrators, and the extended Kale family. Attendees included Canakkale Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Omer Toraman, Can District Governor Dr. Emre Nebioglu, Biga District Governor Ercan Kayabasi, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU) Rector R. CUneyt Erenoglu, Ibrahim Bodur's daughter and Kale Group President Zeynep Bodur Okyay, his son-in-law Kale Group Deputy President Osman Okyay, Can Mayor Harun Arslan, Yenice Mayor Sekip Sertas Karakas, former Canakkale Member of Parliament Julide Iskenderoglu, AK Party Central Executive Committee Member Naim Makas, AK Party Provincial Chairman Omer Faruk Gokturk, CHP Can District Chairman Ilhan Demiral, IYI Party Can District Chairman Mehmet Ali Erol, Kale Group executives, and employees.

Kale Group President and CEO Zeynep Bodur Okyay expressed her feelings in her speech on the occasion: “When I lost my father nine years ago, a great void opened up inside me. But today, that void overflows with his teachings, his memories, and his voice. He taught us honesty, diligence, compassion, and the value of being human. He always sought to produce, create value, and build value. The love he bequeathed to us for people and our country continues to illuminate our path.”
