EGEART FOCUSED ON ART IN A DIGITIZED WORLD

Organized for the 9th time by Ege University in 2022, the International EgeArt Art Days, met with the art lovers between 13th-16th December with a comprehensive program themed “Art in a Digitized World”.

Held for the first time in 2005, the EgeArt Art Days have been reaching to art lovers every other year, with the exhibitions opened in various galleries around Izmir. During this time, art lovers are brought together with many branches of art through panels, discussions, stage performances and workshops. Becoming a tradition over the years, EgeArt brings especially the young artists together with experienced ones by way of events organized. The Honorary President of EgeArt Art Days Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak, in his speech pointed out the importance of producing artistic activities, making a contribution to the development of art, bringing the art and art lovers together, enhancing the cultural interaction, enriching and supporting the development of the memory of art through the events organized.



Under the title of EgeArt art events this year, the ceramic exhibition named the “Voice of Earth” and the “Ceramic Collection Exhibition” created from the exhibitions organized in previous years, are opened in Ege University’s Ataturk Culture Center. Participated in the “Voice of Earth” exhibition are; Ozgur Kaptan, Soner Genc, Pinar Genc, Dilek Alkan Ozdemir, Lale Demir Oransay, Kamuran Ozlem Sarnic, Aziz Baha Orken, Deniz Onur Erman, S. Veysel Ozel, Ece Kaniskan, Mutlu Baskaya, Elif Aydogdu Agatekin, Emre Feyzoglu, Hasan Baskirkan, Betul Aytepe Serinsu, Bahadir C. Erdem, M. Candan Gungor, Candan Dizdar Terwiel, Omer Gorkem.


Also in the opening ceremony of EgeArt Art Days, Mehmet Tuzum Kizilcan who has been curating the ceramic exhibitions for nine years, is presented with the honor award by the Ege University Rectorate.
