Serving as the Ceramics Research Center R&D Coordinator and Chairman of the Board since 2010, Prof. Dr. Alpagut Kara was replaced by Prof. Dr. Served by Servet Turan.
Having started to work as the Assistant R&D Coordinator at the Ceramic Research Center (SAM) Inc. in 2007, and serving as the R&D Coordinator and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2010, Prof. Dr. Alpagut Kara left his post. As of April 2022, Eskişehir Technical University Materials Science and Engineering Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Servet Turan took over.
Prof. Dr. Servet Turan graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Metallurgical Engineering in 1988. He completed his master's degree at Leeds University in 1990 and his doctorate at Cambridge University in 1995 as a MEB scholarship holder under the law no. 1416. In the same year, he started to work as a lecturer at Anadolu University. Having also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAM for a while, in addition to his duties as Head of Department, Director of Advanced Technologies Research and Application Center, Director of Research and Graduate Processes, and Vice Rector, Prof. Turan is still a Board Member of Turkish Ceramics Society, President of Turkish Electron Microscopy Society, and Board Member of European Microscopy Society. He is the owner of many awards and patents, especially TUBITAK Incentive Award and university-industry cooperation awards. Leading many projects, Prof. Turan continues her studies on Ceramic Materials, Lithium-Ion Batteries, Thermoelectric Materials, Insulating Ceramics and especially Advanced Material Characterization.
