The Architects Guide project of the Building Catalog, which has been published for more than 50 years, has turned 4 years old. In this short period of time, the guide reached nearly 1500 architectural offices, provided visibility to 289 architectural offices through its website, and published more than 1000 projects, bringing the inspiring works of the architectural world to the sector.
The Building Catalog, which is the first and only material catalog published in Turkiye since 1973 and filled an important gap in the field of building materials, had a renewed and easily searchable format by adapting to digital innovations as of 2018. In the Architects Guide project launched by the Building Catalog in 2020, architectural concept designs, application projects, product designs, landscape applications and competition projects are included, as well as architects, interior designers and landscape architects. The project reached nearly 1500 architectural offices in four years, provided visibility to 289 architectural offices through its website, and introduced the inspiring works of the architectural world to the sector by publishing more than 1000 projects.
The guide allowed them to share their thoughts and visions about the sector through weekly interviews with architectural offices, and made their voices heard to wider audiences. With the Architect's Problem survey, it analyzed in detail not only the interests of architects, but also the issues they care about and seek solutions to in the sector. The Building Catalog Editorial Team has prepared whitepapers that shed light on current issues in the sector at various frequencies for four years. In this context, it has examined nearly 100 projects in depth so far. It also organized nearly 200 events; hosted mutually beneficial meetings by bringing together nearly 3000 participants. The Architect's First Building Award is now given under the umbrella of the Building Catalog. By supporting newly rising architectural offices, it allows them to take an important step in their journey in the industry.
