  • Bonna has been awarded support under the TUBITAK 1832 Green Transformation in Industry 2025-3 Call for Proposals for its project, "New Generation Tableware Production Technology with High Waste Content and Low Temperature Sintering," prepared under the leadership of the Sustainability Committee.

Bonna, a trusted business partner of the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) sector since 2014 with its innovative desktop solutions, continues to advance its sustainable production approach through R&D and innovation efforts. Within the scope of a project prepared under the leadership of the Bonna Sustainability Committee and awarded TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye) support, innovative technologies will be developed to recycle waste generated in porcelain production processes, as well as end-of-life porcelain products.

Bonna's project places green transformation and resource efficiency at the heart of porcelain production technology. The goal is to produce a new generation of porcelain that contains a high percentage of recycled waste and ensures energy-efficient production by optimizing firing temperature and time.

In this respect, the project has significant potential in terms of reducing the use of natural resources and raw materials, increasing energy efficiency, and lowering the carbon footprint of production processes. At the same time, it aims to create economic value by recycling porcelain waste generated during production and to integrate the circular economy approach more strongly into production processes.

Supporting Sustainability with R&D and Innovation

Bonna's sustainability approach is based on a long-term transformation vision that extends to the entire production process. The company addresses the more efficient use of resources, the reduction of waste, and the decrease in the environmental impact of production processes through R&D and innovation efforts.

Bonna General Manager Erbil Aşkan said, “We see sustainability not only as an environmental responsibility but also as one of the fundamental elements of our future-oriented business model. In line with our understanding of ‘Let it last until tomorrow,’ we will continue to work towards a more sustainable future in every step we take, from production to social contribution.”
