ASEAN Ceramics and ASEAN Stone 2024 Fairs, held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, between 11- 13 December 2024, will open their doors together. The fairs organized by Messe München Asia will bring together more than 300 companies and brands from nearly 30 countries with more than 5000 international buyers. Turkish ceramic products, ceramic machines and natural stone producing companies will also have the opportunity to step into the giant Southeast Asian market, which has a size of over 450 billion dollars.
ASEAN Ceramics & Stone 2024 is one of the largest operations of Messe München, one of the world's leading fair organizations in Asia. The fair aims to meet the rapidly increasing demand in the commercial, residential, industrial and infrastructure sectors in the Southeast Asian region, whose total population exceeds half a billion, including 90 million in Vietnam, and thus contribute to the 2050 vision.
Organized by MMI Asia, the regional representative of Messe München, the fairs will be held on 11-13 December 2024 at Saigon Exhibition and Congress Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and are also supported by the China International Trade Promotion Council (CCPIT) Construction Materials Sub-Council. The fairs aim to bring together the most influential stakeholders of the natural stone and ceramic industry in the region. During the three-day fair, international manufacturers, distributors, companies that develop technology in the field of ceramic machines and production materials, natural stone suppliers, applied products, equipment and chemical providers will come together and meet new business opportunities both in B2B meetings and events. Trade visitors will have access to both fair areas, which will be held in adjacent halls, and will have the opportunity to meet the latest developments, develop cooperation and establish international networks.
ASEAN Stone 2024 is the first fair in Southeast Asia where natural stone types such as granite, quartz, marble slabs, mosaic, natural stone processing and cutting devices, quarry machines and polishing equipment, as well as related machinery, tools, chemicals and materials are exhibited. It is anticipated that ASEAN Ceramics 2024, which has an exhibition area of 6,600 m², will almost double the size of the previous fair area. Vietnam's ceramic industry, which has increased greatly in recent years, is the world's 4th largest ceramic producer and one of the top 10 construction ceramics producing countries. The fairs will also inspire 10 countries in Southeast Asia, namely Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei and Myanmar, to provide solutions to current challenges such as digitalization and automation and shed light on the future.
Both demand and production are rapidly shifting from the West to the East, Turkish companies must take their place
During their expansion in Southeast Asia, the natural stone and ceramic industries, in collaboration with the construction industry, are working to meet the increasing demand for raw materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other related services required to produce high-quality construction products. “After analyzing the market requirements and the potential synergy provided by cross-sector integration, we decided to organize these fairs simultaneously,” says Michael Wilton, CEO and General Manager of MMI Asia, expressing his excitement about the fairs. Ilker Altun, Executive Director of EKO MMI, Turkey representative of ASEAN Ceramics & Stone fairs, says: “Vietnam and Southeast Asia markets are growing at a rapid pace. Due to both the increasing demand with the population in the region and production advantages, production in these areas, as in many sectors, is increasingly shifting to Asia. Our government also encourages our domestic companies to focus on these markets. We provide all kinds of support and convenience to our companies in the field of ceramics and natural stone in Turkey in organizing their fair participation so that they can take their place in this market without delay."
