Akcoat becomes the first Turkish chemical company that signed the UN Global Compact initiative CEO Water Mandate. Akcoat General Director Veysi Kucuk said they will be supporting the water protection policies.
Manufacturing in 5 main product groups as enamel, ceramic, nonstick-decorative coatings, pigment and glass coatings in their production facilities in Turkey and Spain, Akcoat made a new step towards sustainability. The company becomes the first Turkish chemical company that signed the United Nations Global Compact initiative CEO Water Mandate prepared in order to create a solution to global water problem.
Akcoat General Director Veysi Kucuk said that, in line with their sustainable development goals they began to designate their water policies and actualize necessary steps in production according to the criteria set forth by Water Mandate initiative. Kucuk continued his words; “In parallel to the sense of sustainability of Akkok Holding, one of the most rooted industrial enterprises which we gathered under the roof of, we prioritize creating environmental value. Accordingly, as Akcoat, the first Turkish chemical company that signed the CEO Water Mandate and a stakeholder of the international initiative, we will support the water policies carried out simultaneously all over the word. We will continue to work in collaboration with our regional and global stakeholders.”
