AKCOAT'S FUTURE PROJECT FOR YOUNG TALENTS

Akcoat completed its "The Future Project" internship program this year, designed for senior undergraduate and graduate students. Participants not only put their theoretical knowledge into practice but also gained work experience by actively participating in real-world projects.

With nearly half a century of experience, Akcoat manufactures five main product groups: enamel, ceramic, nonstick and decorative coatings, glass, and pigments. Akcoat maintains its leadership in the industry not only through technological innovations but also through the opportunities it offers young talent. As part of this vision, ‘The Future Project’ internship program, which has been supporting the career development of young talent since 2018, was successfully completed this year.

The program, which inspires young people to discover and develop their potential and launch their career journeys with solid steps, provided interns with the opportunity to acquire a wide range of new skills, from project management and teamwork to analytical thinking and problem-solving. They also gained experience in a real-world work environment by working in various departments. Throughout the program, they met with industry leaders and other talented students, building a strong professional network, and not only put their theoretical knowledge into practice but also actively participated in real-world projects.

From Internship to Job, Thanks to The Future Project

This year's program participants, Berhan Can, Gokcesu Ozgun, Ipek Gunduz, Semih Karaagac, Berkem Guzel, Sevcan Unal, Meltem Guven, and Elif Yildiz, wrote their own The Future Project stories. Sevcan Unal, this year's The Future Project winner, has started working as an Assistant Specialist in the Pigment R&D department, where she completed her internship.

The program, which primarily attracts students studying chemical, industrial, metallurgical, and materials engineering, will continue next year.
