Wall panels which have been produced by artists in the symposiums for ten years, were placed on the walls in the stairways of Fine Arts Faculty and the works the artists brought with them, were granted to university’s art collection for the purpose of enriching it further. In this year’s symposium, 40x40 cm five panels produced by each artist with inspiration from the animal figures in Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, will be mounted on various locations of the city in Ankara, in collaboration with Metropolitan Municipality.

Started by Korean Master Artist Kim Yong Moon 24 years ago in Korea, later in China and ten years ago in Turkey, the Macsabal Symposium has become a model for many artists and organizations in the world and in Turkey. Since 2011, the beginning of the symposium, with the hope that world famous artists’ ceramic sculptures to have their places in the streets of Ankara one day, we would like to have the support of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

We would like to thank to the artists invited and attended from our country and all around the world and sincerely contributed with the works they brought and to Hacettepe University Rectorate and Deanship, Korean Culture Center in Ankara and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality that collaborated in introducing and bringing the works together with art lovers, for being with us and their supports. We would also like to thank H.U. FAF Ceramic Department students, research associates and teachers.
