Founder and Honorary President of Kale Group, Dr. İbrahim Bodur's brother, Kale Group President and CEO Zeynep Bodur Okyay's uncle, Kale Group Deputy Chairman of the Board Dr. Suleyman Bodur passed away at the age of 88.
The funeral of Suleyman Bodur, Kale Group Deputy Chairman of the Board, buried in the family cemetery of the Nevruz Village cemetery, where he was born, after the noon prayer performed at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque on October 12, and after the ceremony held at the Can Kaleseramik Factories Mosque on October 13.
Regarding the loss of her uncle, Kale Group President and CEO Zeynep Bodur Okyay said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of my uncle, Dr. Suleyman Bodur who has made great efforts for Kale Group, gave importance to education and came to the fore with his researcher identity, was an athlete, loyal, has been with his friends in both good and bad times, who approached with kindness and touched their lives.”
Suleyman Bodur, who received his doctorate from Justus Liebig University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Agricultural Management in Germany, started to work at Çanakkale Seramik A.Ş. in 1965. He was a member of the Board of Directors of H. İbrahim Bodur Holding A.Ş., Kaleseramik A.Ş., Kale Holding A.Ş., Bodur Menkul Development and Trade Inc., Kale Ida Health Services Inc., Dr.(h.c.) Ibrahim Bodur Kaleseramik Foundation. He was a member of Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Ceramics and Refractory Association, Ceramic Manufacturers Association and Turkish Golf Federation. He was also a member of the Galatarasay Sports Club Council Committee.
